02Supporting International-Curriculum Students Since 2012
Vairavan Academy began with a focus on Mathematics and has grown into a structured academic support system for IB, MYP, IGCSE, and AS & A Level students. Science support was added as the academy expanded its academic team and programme offering.
Today, the academy serves students across 16 countries: Indonesia, Australia, India, Singapore, the United States, Dubai (UAE), Japan, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, Kenya, the UK, China and Thailand.

03Understanding Comes Before Memorisation
The academy’s approach begins by identifying what a student understands, where uncertainty begins, and what is preventing progress. Educators then provide clear explanations, purposeful practice, and feedback suited to the student’s curriculum and current level.
Students are encouraged to explain their reasoning, reflect on errors, and work through unfamiliar problems. Over time, this helps them become more confident and less dependent on step-by-step assistance.
04Academic Direction Shaped by More Than 20 Years of Experience
Vairavan Academy was founded by Mr. Vairavan Ramamoorthy, whose experience teaching international-curriculum students spans more than two decades.
He believes that learners should be prepared to adapt to new situations and environments, reflect on their experiences, and continuously evolve. Through mathematics, students are encouraged to develop this mindset of lifelong learning—embracing challenges, learning from experiences, and applying their understanding to new and unfamiliar situations.
